These rules cover how VibeNow handles data, what you can post, and how moderation works. We keep it simple — no legal jargon, just clear commitments.

🔒 What we collect — and what we don't
✓No account required. You can browse, post, like, and comment without registering or providing a name, email, or phone number.
✓Anonymous device ID only. A random identifier stored locally on your device is used for anti-spam rate limits and trust controls. It cannot be linked to your real identity.
✓Location is not stored. Your GPS coordinates are used only to center the map and tag where a vibe is posted. We do not log, track, or profile your movements.
✓No data selling. We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data with third parties.
·Operational logs. Aggregate reliability events (errors, connection stats) may be collected in anonymized form to keep the service stable.
·Push subscription token. If you enable push notifications, a browser-generated push endpoint token is stored in our database. It is used only to deliver notifications you have opted into. You can revoke it at any time by disabling notifications in Settings or in your browser settings.
·Saved vibe snapshots. When you bookmark a vibe, a snapshot of its text, type, location, and media link is stored in your account. This lets the bookmark survive after the original pin expires. The snapshot is deleted when you remove the bookmark or delete your account.
🍪 Cookies & local storage
VibeNow uses browser local storage to save your UI preferences (filters, view mode, nickname) and your anonymous device ID. No third-party tracking cookies are used. No advertising networks have access to your session.
📜 Terms of use
✕Do not post illegal, abusive, hateful, or intentionally false content — on the map or in community chats.
✕Do not attempt to manipulate signal scores through artificial likes or mass duplicate reports.
✕Do not use VibeNow to impersonate emergency services or spread dangerous misinformation.
✕Do not harass, threaten, or spam other users in direct messages or community chats.
·System signals (traffic, events) are informational only and not a substitute for official emergency guidance.
·Features, rate limits, and content policies may change as the product evolves.
⚖️ Moderation
Reports from users are reviewed and acted on. Pins that violate these rules may be hidden, rate-limited, or removed. Devices that repeatedly abuse the platform may be blocked. If you believe a removal was made in error, contact us — we review appeals.
🗑️ Data deletion
User vibes expire and are deleted automatically after 6 hours. Vibe owners can extend their vibe once by up to 6 additional hours — after that it expires as normal. If you need specific content or data removed before that, use the report button on the pin or contact us via the Contact page. Saved bookmarks are stored per account and are removed when you delete your account or manually remove them from your profile. Deleting your account removes your profile, messages, bookmarks, and any content linked to it. We process removal requests as quickly as possible.
